Plot Basics
Your homeplot is your personal piece of land in Palia. It's where you build your house, plant your garden, and set up all your crafting stations. Homeplots are located in the Kilima Village area and are visible to other players who visit.
All players start with the same small plot size. You expand it by spending Renown at the Renown shop. Plot expansions are one of the best investments in the game.
Plot Sizes
| Size | Dimensions | Renown Cost | Garden Plots | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 🏠 Starter | Small | Free | ~9 plots | Default. Enough for basic gardening. |
| 🏡 Expanded I | Medium | 300 Renown | ~18 plots | First expansion. Strongly recommended. |
| 🏰 Expanded II | Large | 500 Renown | ~36 plots | Big jump in gardening capacity. |
| 🏯 Expanded III | Extra Large | 800 Renown | ~60+ plots | Endgame size. Max garden output. |
Expand early. Plot Expansion I costs 300 Renown and doubles your garden capacity. You can earn 300 Renown in your first few days through skill level-ups and quests. Do this as your very first Renown purchase.
Optimal Plot Layout
How you arrange your plot matters for both efficiency and appearance. Here's a recommended layout for a medium-sized plot:
Zone 1 — Garden (60% of plot)
Dedicate the majority of your plot to gardening. Plant in rows of the same crop type to get adjacency bonuses for star quality. Use bog soil for vegetables and fruits, flat soil for flowers and grains.
Zone 2 — Crafting Area (20% of plot)
Group all your crafting stations together for efficiency: Worktable, Smelter, Saw Table, Stone Grinder, and Oven. Keep them near your storage chest.
Zone 3 — Housing (20% of plot)
Your house and decorative outdoor space. Don't waste prime gardening land on too much decoration in the early game — but do make it look nice for visitors!
Crafting Stations Placement
- Place stations near storage. Short walks between chest and station save cumulative time across many crafting sessions.
- Cluster related stations. Smelter next to Worktable = faster metal furniture crafting workflow.
- Leave room to expand. You'll keep adding new stations as you level up. Leave space in your crafting zone.
Plot Tips
- Use the crop planner. Our Crop Planner tool optimizes garden layouts for maximum gold output.
- Decorate for visitors. Other players can visit your plot. A well-decorated home gives you social credibility and can inspire your own creativity.
- Keep chests organized. Multiple labeled chests (crops, ore, crafted items) save significant time vs. one huge chest.
- Watering route matters. Plan your watering path so you never backtrack unnecessarily.
