💡 Pro Tips
- Upgrade the Phoenix Shrine to the +50% Focus XP tier first — it effectively doubles skill levelling speed across the board
- The Community Board in Kilima Village is the most consistent daily source of Renown — complete all six tasks every week
- Don't spend Renown on decorative items until both priority Shrines are fully upgraded — the long-term gain is far higher
- Community Board tasks reset every week — check back after each weekly reset to grab a fresh batch
What is Renown?
Secondary Currency
Renown is Palia's second currency alongside Gold. It cannot be spent at regular shops and has its own dedicated upgrade economy.
Earned Through Community
You earn Renown by completing Community Board tasks, fulfilling NPC requests, discovering new species, and joining group events.
Spent on Shrines
The primary use for Renown is upgrading Shrines, which grant permanent passive bonuses — most importantly, boosting your Focus XP multiplier.
Not Interchangeable
Renown cannot be converted to Gold or used to buy standard shop items. Treat it as a dedicated upgrade resource.

📋 Community Board Tasks
Six tasks refresh at the board in Kilima Village square every week. Tasks range from delivering items to completing small skill challenges. Completing all six is the single most efficient Renown habit in the game.
50 – 200 Renown per task · up to ~1,000/week🧑🤝🧑 Helping Villagers (NPC Requests)
NPCs occasionally post personal requests — deliver a specific item or complete a favour. Each fulfilled request rewards Renown alongside friendship points, so you're earning two currencies at once.
20 – 100 Renown per request · bonus friendship XP🔍 First-Discovery Achievements
Every time you catch a species of fish or bug for the first time, you receive a one-time Renown reward. Worth keeping a checklist of undiscovered species to hunt down during downtime.
10 – 50 Renown per new species · one-time only🎉 Community Events
Server-wide group activities — such as foraging rallies or fishing competitions — award Renown for participation and completion. Keep an eye on the event board for upcoming sessions.
