What Is Renown?
Renown (⭐) is a secondary currency in Palia that cannot be earned by selling items or farming gold. It's earned through progression milestones — leveling skills, building friendship, completing specific quests, and participating in events. You spend it at the Renown shop on permanent upgrades and special items.
Unlike gold, Renown cannot be transferred between players. It's purely a solo progression currency.
How to Earn Renown

The Renown shop offers permanent upgrades that significantly improve your quality of life. Here's the priority order:

Don't save Renown. New players often hoard it without spending. Inventory expansions and plot expansions return their investment within days of use. Buy them as soon as you can afford them.
Farming Renown Efficiently
The fastest way to accumulate Renown is to make consistent skill progression and friendship advancement your daily habit:
- Level all skills evenly. The Renown reward per skill level-up is generous. Spreading activity across all 8 skills gives more total Renown than grinding one skill to max.
- Gift villagers every week. Friendship level-ups give 25–100 Renown each. With 25 villagers and 4 hearts each, that's up to 10,000 lifetime Renown just from friendship.
- Complete weekly quests. These reset every week and give reliable Renown income.
