Where to Sell Items
There are three main ways to sell in Palia:
📦 The Shipping Bin (Primary)
Your homeplot has a Shipping Bin — the most important selling mechanism in the game. Place any items in it before the daily reset (UTC 04:00) and the gold is credited to your account overnight. The bin accepts everything and has no sell price penalty.
🏪 Zeki's General Store (Instant)
Zeki buys items at 80% of their standard value for instant gold. Use this when you need gold immediately rather than waiting for the overnight ship. The 20% penalty is worth it in a cash emergency.
🏛️ Guild Leader Shops (Specialty)
Some guild leaders buy specific items at full price or better:
- Einar — buys rare fish at competitive rates
- Badruu — buys star-quality crops at a premium
- Hodari — buys ore and bars at standard rate
Process Before Selling — Always
Raw items are significantly less valuable than their processed forms. The table below shows how much processing multiplies sell value:
| Raw Item | Raw Sell Value | Processed Form | Processed Value | Multiplier |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Copper Ore | 8g | Copper Bar (×5 ore) | 75g | ~1.9× |
| Iron Ore | 18g | Iron Bar (×5 ore) | 150g | ~1.7× |
| Palium Ore | 50g | Palium Bar (×5 ore) | 400g | ~1.6× |
| Brightwood Log | 12g | Brightwood Plank (×3 logs) | 65g | ~1.8× |
| Any Meat | 15–30g | Cooked Meat Dish | 60–175g | 3–5× |
| Common Fish | 12–25g | Cooked Fish Dish | 40–100g | 3–4× |
| Tomato (base) | 35g | Tomato Pasta | 85g | ~2.4× |
The rule: if you have the crafting station and ingredients, always process before selling. The time cost is low; the return is significant.
What to Keep vs Sell
Always Keep
- Palium Ore/Bars — required for late-game tools and furniture
- Ancient Coins — best loved gift for Jina, Zeki, and Jel; don't sell
- Rare Seeds — for planting, not selling
- Heirloom Seeds — give huge yields when grown; never sell the seeds
- High-Focus Foods — eat Hotpot and Chapaa Steak, don't sell them
Sell Freely
- Common fish (after cooking what you need for Focus)
- Excess crops beyond what you need for cooking ingredients
- Common ore once bars are crafted
- Surplus foraging items (mushrooms, berries) beyond gift requirements
Star Quality Sells for ~50% More
Star-quality (★) items are worth significantly more gold. Always use fertilizer on your crops — the star yield boost more than offsets the fertilizer cost:
| Item | Base Price | Star Price | Boost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tomato | 35g | 52g | +49% |
| Heartdrop Lily | 75g | 112g | +49% |
| Rainbow Rose | 150g | 225g | +50% |
| Silver Salmon | 45g | 67g | +49% |
| Prism Trout | 95g | 142g | +49% |
