How Gifting Works
You can give each villager up to 2 gifts per week (the week resets at the weekly reset). Gift quality matters — loved gifts give the most friendship XP, liked gifts give moderate XP, and disliked gifts actually decrease friendship. Never gift disliked items.
Birthday strategy: Loved gifts given on a villager's birthday give triple friendship XP. Keep a calendar of birthdays and save loved gifts for those days. The friendship tracker tool has birthday reminders built in.

Weekly Gifting Strategy
With 25 villagers and only 7 days per week, you can't give 2 gifts to everyone. Here's how to prioritize:
- Priority 1 — Villagers you want to romance. Max out these first, gifting loved items twice a week every week.
- Priority 2 — Villagers with skill-relevant rewards. Reth (cooking recipes), Sifuu (furniture blueprints), Tish (fishing tips), Hassian (hunting locations).
- Priority 3 — Birthday weeks. Always prioritize villagers whose birthday falls in the current week — triple XP is too valuable to miss.
- Priority 4 — Batch gift with cheap loved items. Coffee and Tea are inexpensive but loved by 3-4 villagers each. Buy a stack and distribute quickly.
