Palia Save Data Guide 2026

How Palia stores your progress, how cloud sync works, how to transfer between platforms, and what to do if data goes missing.

Palia Account System

Unlike most games, Palia uses a central Palia Account (created at palia.com) that is separate from your Steam, Epic, Switch, PlayStation, or Xbox account. This central account holds all your game data — your character, homestead, inventory, progression, and Palia Coins balance.

Every platform you play on is linked to the same Palia Account. This means your character is identical across devices — no separate save files per platform.

⚠️

Create your Palia Account first. Before linking any platform, register at palia.com to create your core account. This is the account that holds your data — not your Steam or console profile.

Cloud Save — How It Works

1
All progress saves to Singularity 6 servers
Palia is an online-only game — there is no local save file. Your character data, homestead layout, inventory, skill levels, friendship progress, and Palia Coins are all stored server-side. This means you can never lose progress due to a local device failure.
2
Progress saves automatically, continuously
You do not need to manually save. The game syncs your progress to the server in real time. When you harvest crops, catch a fish, or complete a quest, it is saved immediately — there is no "save point" system.
3
Log in from any device to continue exactly where you left off
Because all data lives on Singularity 6's servers, switching from PC to Switch to PS5 is seamless. Log into the same Palia Account on any platform and your character, homestead, and inventory are all there.

Linking Platform Accounts

Link your Palia Account to each platform you want to play on. All linked platforms share the same character data.

ℹ️

One Palia Account per character. Each Palia Account has one character. You cannot have separate characters per platform — all platforms share the same character. To have a separate character, you would need a separate Palia Account (and separate email address).

Transferring Between Devices

Because all data is account-based and server-side, "transferring" is simply logging in on the new device with your Palia Account credentials. No data export, no file copy, no migration wizard required.

Example: Moving from PC to Nintendo Switch
  1. Download Palia on Nintendo Switch from the eShop
  2. Launch the game and select "Link existing Palia Account"
  3. Enter your Palia Account email and password
  4. Your character, homestead, inventory and progress loads immediately
  5. You can now play on Switch or PC interchangeably

What To Do If Data Is Missing

🚨 I logged in and my character is gone
This almost always means you're logged into a different Palia Account than usual. Check which email address you're using. If you signed up via Epic, Steam, or console, a new Palia Account may have been created automatically — check for a separate account on palia.com. Contact Palia Support with the email used to sign up.
⚠️ My homestead changes didn't save
Homestead layout saves in real time, but occasionally a server hiccup can cause a rollback of recent changes (within the last few minutes). If you notice a consistent pattern of unsaved changes, check Palia's official Discord server status channel — this is usually a known server issue.
💬 I lost items from my inventory
Inventory items are rarely lost to bugs — most reports of "missing items" are items that were crafted, sold, or used earlier in the session. If you genuinely believe items were lost due to a bug, submit a ticket to Palia Support as soon as possible, including your character name and the approximate time the loss occurred.
🔐 I forgot my Palia Account password
Go to palia.com → Sign In → Forgot Password. A reset link will be sent to the email address associated with your Palia Account. If you no longer have access to that email, contact Palia Support for identity verification.
