🤔 Should I Sell It?

Type any item name to instantly check whether to keep, sell, or process it first.

✅ Your First 7 Days Checklist

Check off each task as you complete it — progress is saved in your browser.

🌱 Day 1 – 2  ·  The Onboarding
⚠ Critical Trap Do NOT buy seeds from Zeki yet. Use the free seeds gifted by Badruu to start your first garden — Zeki's are overpriced at this stage.
🪂 Day 3 – 5  ·  The Sky & Expansion
⚠ Critical Trap Do NOT hoard Iron Ore before buying the backpack upgrade — it will clog your limited inventory slots and block you from picking up other resources.
⚙️ Day 6 – 7  ·  The Automation
⚠ Critical Trap Never sell raw Tomatoes or Potatoes. Always process them through the Preserves Jar first — this gives a 150% profit boost for zero extra effort.

🪓 Tool Upgrade Path

Upgrade your Axe and Pickaxe in sync — being stuck at Makeshift is the #1 bottleneck for new players.

Tool Makeshift
Starting gear
Standard
Lv. 3
Fine
Lv. 6
Exquisite
Lv. 9
Axe / Pickaxe Breaks easily. Cannot harvest Copper Nodes or large Flow Trees. Requires Copper Bars. Can now mine Iron Ore in Bahari Bay. Major unlock. Requires Iron Bars. Can mine Palium Ore. Opens end-game progression. Requires Palium Bars. Maximum speed and durability. Full resource access.
Bow Weak damage. Sernuks often flee before dying. Copper Bars. Faster fire rate. Reliable Sernuk hunting. Iron Bars. Longer range. Can hunt reliably in Bahari Bay. Palium Bars. Maximum hunting efficiency. Fastest cooldowns.
💡 Priority tip: Upgrade your Bow before your Bug Bag. Hunting Sernuks provides Meat and Hide — the most stable source of early-game gold and focus food ingredients.

⚡ Focus System – How to Level Faster

Focus multiplies all skill XP while it's active. Eating cooked food replenishes it. This is the single biggest lever for leveling speed.

🔥 Priority #1

Phoenix Shrine

Location
Near the waterfall in Kilima Valley
Cost per upgrade
100 Renown
Effect
Increases your Focus XP bonus %. Starts at +20%, caps at +100%
🐉 Priority #2

Dragon Shrine

Location
Maji Market area, Bahari Bay
Cost per upgrade
100 Renown
Effect
Increases your maximum Focus capacity. Starts at 200, caps at 1,000
⭐ Meta Strategy: Invest in the Phoenix Shrine first until your XP bonus reaches +50%. At that point every skill session gives you 1.5× XP automatically. Only then start upgrading the Dragon Shrine to extend how long that bonus lasts per meal. Doing it in the wrong order is the most common mid-game mistake.

🚫 Never Sell These Items

These four item groups look like sellable loot — they're not. Selling them is one of the most common and painful mistakes in the game.

🪨

Flint

You'll mine thousands of Flint from stone deposits. Keep exactly 100 (1 stack) for crafting Standard Arrows — sell everything beyond that to free up chest space. Don't hoard blindly.

🌳

Flow Tree Seeds & Planks

Extremely rare end-game material. If you receive any from community giveaways or lucky drops, lock them in a chest immediately. Never use them for early furniture — they're irreplaceable at this stage.

💎

Rare Gems (Star Sapphire, Amethyst, etc.)

High gold value but crucial for Level 4 NPC friendship quests and Romance paths. Save at least one of each type before selling any extras — you cannot reliably re-farm them on demand.

🪵

Heartwood

Harvested from Bahari Bay pine trees. Heartwood is the bottleneck resource for upgrading crafting stations at mid-game. Supply is always scarce — sell zero until you've completed all station upgrades.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do on Day 1 in Palia?

Complete the Welcome to Palia tutorial quest, claim your home plot, meet all 24 villagers to unlock the map overlay, and clear plot debris for free Sapwood and Stone. Do not buy seeds from Zeki — use Badruu's free starter seeds for your first garden.

How do I unlock the Glider?

Talk to Jina in the ruins (near the ancient temple area) to trigger the Like a Bird quest line. Complete the quest and you'll receive the Glider — one of the most useful tools in the game for exploration and traversal across Kilima Valley and Bahari Bay.

What is the fastest way to earn Gold in Palia?

In rough order of accessibility:

  1. Preserves Jar crops — process Tomatoes and Potatoes for 150% profit passively
  2. Regrow crops (Tomatoes, Spice Sprouts) — plant once, harvest repeatedly
  3. Night fishing at Bahari Bay — Epic fish sell for 300–600g each
  4. Hunting Sernuks — Meat and Hide sell well and are used in daily requests
Which skill should I level first?

Cooking, always. Food restores Focus, and Focus doubles XP from every other skill. Prioritize Cooking until Lv. 3 (unlocks Ramen) at minimum. Pair this with the Phoenix Shrine upgrade to reach +50% XP bonus as fast as possible.

Is the Backpack upgrade worth it early?

Yes — it's the #1 priority purchase in early game at 400 Gold from Zeki. Without it, your tiny inventory will constantly interrupt gathering sessions and force you to run back to storage. Buy it before anything else from Zeki's shop.
