Palia's energy bar that doubles all skill XP while active. Restored by eating cooked food — higher-rarity recipes restore more Focus. The most important daily resource to manage.

Example: Eating a Celebration Cake restores 700 Focus (1,050 at 5★), allowing you to gain 2× XP for a long grinding session.

Palia's community progression currency. Earned through achievements, gifting NPCs, completing community board tasks, and hitting skill milestones. Used to unlock additional housing plots, new areas, and community upgrades.

Unlike gold, Renown is tied to the server's collective progress. Contributing to community goals adds to a shared Renown pool.

A rotating set of preferred gift items that each NPC has for the current week. Gifting an NPC their Weekly Want item gives bonus friendship XP on top of the standard Loved/Liked gift amount.

Reset: Every Sunday at 8PM UTC. Check paliapedia.com for current weekly wants — they change every week.

Trash piles scattered around Kilima Village and Bahari Bay that respawn daily after the UTC 00:00 reset. Rummaging through them can yield crafting materials, rare items, and occasionally gift-worthy objects.

A reliable daily source of free materials — especially useful for early-game players lacking crafting resources.

The practice of switching to a different server instance to respawn resource nodes (ore, fish spots, tree stumps) that have already been depleted on your current server. Commonly used for Palium Ore farming and rare fish.

How to: Open the menu → Social → Change Server. Your progress and inventory carry over; only the world state resets.

A multiplayer cooking session where multiple players cook the same recipe simultaneously using one set of ingredients. Each participant receives a full serving of the dish — it's one of the most efficient ways to bulk-cook high-Focus meals.

How to join: Stand near another player's stove during their cooking animation and interact. You'll be prompted to join their cooking session.

An efficient mining strategy of running a fixed loop between ore nodes that respawn over time, rather than mining randomly. By the time you complete a loop of all nodes on a route, the first nodes are ready to mine again.

Best routes: The Bahari Bay mining route covers the highest concentration of Iron and Palium nodes for gold-per-hour efficiency.

A quality rating from 1★ to 5★ applied to harvested items, caught fish, and cooked food. Higher quality adds approximately 50% to sell price and 50% to Focus restored from food.

Quality is influenced by: farming skill level, proximity to Quality Boost crop buffs (Apple Tree), and fishing rod tier. Gifting 5★ items to NPCs gives standard gift XP — quality does not affect friendship XP.

Palia's optional premium subscription / battle pass. Provides a tiered track of cosmetic rewards (clothing, furniture, decorations) that unlock by playing the game. Does not affect gameplay — all progression mechanics are free.

Palia Coins are the premium currency used to purchase the Pass and individual cosmetics.

A special currency earned from completing community board tasks and guild-level challenges. Used to purchase rare seeds (Blueberry Bush), housing blueprints, and other items not available in standard shops.

Guild Tokens are separate from gold and Renown — they cannot be traded between players.

Your personal land in Palia — up to 9 garden plots (9×9 squares each), a house, and outdoor decoration space. All players start with one plot; additional plots are unlocked by spending Renown.

Your homestead is persistent and private — other players can visit but cannot modify your layout.

A crop synergy buff provided by Tomato and Potato to their four orthogonal neighbours. Adjacent crops do not need to be watered each morning, eliminating the daily watering task if coverage is 100%.

Planting Tomato in a cross-pattern across a 3×3 plot provides full Water Retain coverage with zero maintenance required.

A crop synergy buff provided by Carrot and Onion. Neighbouring crops will never grow weeds, permanently eliminating all manual weeding for covered plots.

Combined with Water Retain, a well-planned layout can run completely passively — harvest once a day with zero upkeep.

The highest-tier fishing bait in Palia. Required for all Epic-rarity fish and some Rare fish. Crafted at a workbench using basic materials. Using Glow Worm dramatically increases the chance of landing high-value catches.

Best use: Bahari Caves with Glow Worm is the most reliable high-gold fishing route — Umbra Carp (390g) and Stonefish (370g) spawn Anytime.

The relationship level system between you and each NPC, displayed as hearts (1–5). Increased by gifting Permanent Loves, completing quests, and attending events. Higher hearts unlock more dialogue, questlines, and romance (at Heart 3 for eligible NPCs).

You can give each NPC a maximum of 2 gifts per week — gift slots reset on Sundays at 8PM UTC.
